At The Wedding Bee one of our specialisms are marquee weddings, we love creating weddings from the ground up and having the luxury of a blank canvas to design your wedding dreams without compromise! Whether it be clearspan, tipi, sailcloth, stretch tent or framed marquees we will guide you on choosing the right option for you depending on your location, budget and vision. Whether you want to host your wedding at a private residence or a venue suitable for marquees, either way we have the knowledge and experience to make it happen!
Marquee weddings can be significantly more complex compared to a typical venue wedding as many of the basic services such as power, waste, water, toilets, lighting, furniture and much more have to be considered and organised. It is essential to have a wedding planner that specialises in marquee weddings to ensure these extra logistics have been considered and addressed. We will be able to recommend types of marquee and suppliers we trust and that have the experience working in a marquee environment to execute your wedding seamlessly.

What to expect
The Marquee experience
Marquee Build
Our team will be on-site during the marquee installation to liaise with the marquee provider on the exact positioning. We will remain on site to oversee the placement of other items like the bar, dance floor etc, ensuring the layout is optimised for your wedding. At the end of the day, we will sign off the build so you can relax and enjoy the final few days before your wedding!
Power
In the lead-up to your wedding day, we will liaise with all suppliers for their power requirements. During the marquee build we will confirm outlets have been installed and placed correctly. We conduct a full handover with the generator company so we are fully prepared and can act swiftly in the unlikely event of any problems on your wedding day.
Supplier Deliveries & Set Up
We will be there in the days prior to the wedding to manage supplier deliveries and set up to ensure everything is executed as expected and be the main point of contact for any questions.
Styling Set Up
We will set up your tables and any styling elements that can be in place the day prior, otherwise we make sure to have the marquee fully prepared in readiness for the wedding morning.
Securing the Marquee
After the marquee is built, we’ll open it up for suppliers to start their setups the day before the wedding. At the end of the day, we’ll secure the marquee by closing the sides and powering down the generators. On your wedding day, our team will be the first to arrive, opening the marquee to prepare for the arrival of suppliers and guests. We’ll remain on-site until the very end, assisting guests, managing supplier breakdowns, and ensuring the marquee is closed and the generators are shut down for the evening.
On the day Coordination
We stay on site for the whole day whilst we discreetly manage your wedding from behind the scenes and act as the main point of contact for suppliers, guests and yourselves throughout the day.
Supplier Breakdown
The day after your wedding, we’ll return to oversee supplier collections and the breakdown of the marquee to ensure the site is clear and is left how it was found.
