Frequently
asked questions
Do I need a wedding planner?
Planning a wedding can take 350+ hours, a considerable commitment when juggling work and social life. The sheer volume of ideas, suppliers, styles, and inspirations can quickly feel overwhelming, making it difficult to craft a cohesive vision for your special day.
This is where we come in. By choosing to work with us, you’ll save not just time but also a great deal of stress. We work in partnership with you to build your wedding vision and plan your day. We will save you endless hours of supplier research by carefully selecting a few options for each who we know will be suited to your personalities, vision, and budget. We will manage all of the logistics and communication throughout, allowing you to focus on the exciting and fun elements of planning!
In essence, we simplify the entire planning process for you and manage your wedding day to ensure it’s everything you’ve dreamed of and more!
Where do you work?
We plan & coordinate weddings and events across the UK, frequently in Surrey, Kent, Cotswolds, Hampshire, Sussex, Wiltshire, London and Hertfordshire. However, we are happy to go wherever you need us to, covering such a vast area means we often plan weddings in areas that are new to us, which we love! As our weddings are always completely original and tailored to our couples and their vision, we find the process is the same for us whether we’ve worked in an area before or it’s the first time!
We also take on 1 or 2 weddings a year based outside of the UK so if it’s a destination wedding you’re after then we can help you!
Will you be there on the day?
We will have a lead planner and assistant at your venue from first thing in the morning to ensure everything is set up to perfection. We will ensure your wedding day runs seamlessly with us discreetly managing your day behind the scenes and being the main point of contact for all suppliers, guests and yourselves throughout the day. For our Full & Partial planning services we will likely be there for the entire set up of your wedding including any days prior, the full wedding day and breakdown the day after. For our Final Countdown & Coordination service we will be on site on your wedding day for a minimum of 12 hours, depending on the option you’ve booked.
My venue has a venue coordinator, do I still need you?
The short answer is yes! A venue coordinator will be there to ensure all of the venue rules are adhered to and their main role is to make sure anything they are providing like the venue, food, bar, toilets etc are up to standard on your wedding day. They will have little involvement with your other suppliers prior to the wedding day and will usually have a meeting with you when you book them and then a final meeting a month or so prior to your wedding day to go over any details they require.
As wedding planners, we are there for you and have your best interests at the forefront of our minds, always. We will be the main point of contact for your suppliers for all of their questions prior to the wedding. We will create a detailed wedding day timeline to ensure everyone knows exactly what’s happening and when. On the wedding day we will be there for you and your guests whilst also managing your wedding discreetly behind the scenes. We will be fluffing your dress before you walk down the aisle, greeting you with your first drinks after you’re married and just generally be watching out for you! Our main priority on the wedding day is that you and your guests have the best day possible.
Venue Coordinators are great at what they do, they just have a very different role to us on the wedding day. We often work with venue coordinators and always have a great working relationship with them.
Do you make all the decisions for us?
No, this is your special day so it’s important for you make all of the final decisions and book a wedding team you feel completely confident and comfortable with! We work in partnership with you, our goal is for you to feel empowered, supported and inspired throughout the planning process. Using our experience and expertise we will guide you in every decision and always give you options for every element to suit your personalities, vision and budget. Every aspect of the planning & design will be meticulously curated with you and your love story at the forefront of our minds.
What style of weddings do you plan?
The weddings we plan & coordinate are always unique and often begin with a blank canvas. Whether it be a beautiful marquee, grand stately homes or romantic barn venues in the countryside! We don’t have a specific style of wedding as all our weddings are unique to our couple, however we love the design element and it’s important to us that every wedding we plan is beautiful!
How do you choose our wedding suppliers?
We will research and source all suppliers required to create your dream wedding. We don’t use a strict list of recommended suppliers as there will always be a different set of suppliers that suit a specific wedding and couple. For each supplier we will present you with a few options that we feel would suit your personalities, vision and budget so you can choose the supplier whose work excites you and you feel you connect with the most. We only ever provide you with supplier options we know will meet our high standards and that we have a relationship with or who’ve been recommended to us. Prior to booking we will review the contract to ensure everything is as expected and then assist you in booking them once you’ve made your decision.
Do you plan parties and events?
Yes we do, all of our wedding planning services are available for parties and events. Please get in touch to discuss your ideas with us and we can let you know how we can help!
Do you plan destination weddings?
Yes, we love exploring new places and creating beautiful weddings in different countries. We don’t have a specific destination wedding service as our Full Planning, Design & Coordination Service covers everything we would do for a destination wedding. We only take on 1 or 2 destination weddings on every year so we would encourage you to book your discovery call as soon as possible so you don’t miss out!
I live abroad but want to get married in the UK, can you help?
We’d love to help! If your time is restricted and you can only visit once or twice before your wedding day then that’s absolutely fine, we can do everything remotely so you feel fully involved every step of the way! We are happy to adjust our working hours to allow for regular zoom calls in different time zones. We are also happy to attend site visits on your behalf, if required. On your visits to the UK we will make sure to schedule all of your essential meetings like menu tasting, bridal dress appointments, venue visits etc. You will also have your own private online planning portal which incorporates all of the planning tools we will use for your wedding. Including budgets, payment schedules, timelines, checklists, supplier contacts, guest management with seating plan tools and more. This will be accessible to you throughout your planning experience so you can always stay up to date on your wedding plans.
How can I get a quote for your services?
You can view all of our planning service options here. Once you’ve got a good idea which service could suit you you’ll need to complete our short enquiry form and we will be in touch to arrange a complimentary zoom call with you. This is a no obligation to book call, we will talk about your wedding ideas and vision, get to know each other a little better and give you the chance to ask any questions you might have at this stage. Following our call we will send you a bespoke proposal and quote, detailing everything we’ve discussed as well as what’s included in the service/s we are quoting for based on your planning needs.
Are there any hidden costs?
When we send you our proposal, this includes a quote for the service you require. The only additional costs would be for accommodation expenses and mileage beyond a set amount of miles, however these will be detailed in your quote.
What are your payment terms?
This will depend on the service you choose and how long we will be working together.
On booking we ask for a 25% non-refundable deposit (based on your quoted fee or our minimum fee for Full Planning) to secure our services.
We then will usually split payments into 4 instalments in total including your initial deposit payment.
The final balance will be due prior to your wedding on either 6 or 2 weeks out from your wedding date depending on the service you’ve booked.
How many weddings do you plan a year?
We don’t have a specific number, however we do limit the amount of weddings we take on each year to allow us the time to invest in giving you the best planning experience possible and deliver a wedding that exceeds your expectations and gives you and your loved ones memories that will last a lifetime.
Are you insured?
Yes, we have full public liability insurance.
How do I book you?
After you’ve received your bespoke proposal & quote and you know you’d love to work with us then pop an email back to us telling us so! We will then send a contract and deposit invoice for you to complete and pay to secure our wedding planning services. Once we’ve received this, you’re all booked in and ready to go! YAY!
